Renowned taste-maker Neoteric is the A&R for Grammy-Nominated Switch’s
Dubsided label, and the co-creator of the acclaimed ‘White Light’ mix series. With his
finger on the pulse of the dance music scene, he scours the world to find the best in
new talent. His debut compilation album, ‘Turned On: Vol 1’, is available now on
Discobelle Records, and features the likes of Crookers, Brodinski, Radioclit, Noob,
Nadastrom, Sharkslayer and many others. Volume 2 is set for release in the coming
months.
Known for his ability to play anything, and do it well, Neoteric has kept busy
travelling extensively across North America for the past 10 years, and has done 2
national tours of Australia and New Zealand. Last year he was invited to start Scion
Canada’s first radio show, ‘Le Gros!’ which he does monthly with Calgary’s
Smalltown DJs. His renowned tracks and remixes have gotten support from the likes
of A-Trak, DJ AM, Diplo, Switch, Steve Aoki, Brodinski, DJ Mehdi, Busy P, The Rub,
Stretch Armstrong, Annie Mac, and many others.
2011 will prove to be a breakthrough year, as a set of releases with Australia’s
Wax Motif will be unleashed. ‘Go Deep’ was quickly signed to Fatboy Slim’s
Southern Fried Records, and will be dropping in April. ‘Springer’ is an early
contender for weirdest club track of the year, but will see release this summer with a
star studded cast of remixes. Previously, his group Smoke & Mirrors (with Canadian
U-Tern), remixed the likes Tittsworth, Kid Sister, and Major Lazer.
Neo has shared the stage with the likes of M.I.A, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), A-
Trak, Cut Copy, Fake Blood, Diplo, Miike Snow, The XX, Simian Mobile Disco, Holy
Ghost, The Presets, Jokers of the Scene, Surkin, Drop the Lime, Nadastrom,
Mowgli, Friendly Fires, Devin the Dude, Masta Ace, and countless others! His
strengths lie with his great ear, high energy sets, flawless mixing, and ability to adapt
to any situation. With acclaimed mixes, tracks and remixes released and extensive
touring planned, the future looks bright for this hard working Canadian!
